ABOUT ME

I am a neurodivergent Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

I am also a mum with neurodivergent adult children

I was a sole parent throughout most of my children’s childhood and understand the stressors of sole parenting

I completed my social work degree at Curtin University in 2002

I have worked full time since 2002 as a social worker in various different roles, providing counselling and support, advocacy as well as assessment’s and report writing.

I spent 14 years working for the Department for Child Protection. During this time I spent seven years working in the Domestic Violence Unit with the West Australian Police, providing intervention and support for families.

I have been in private practice since 2016

I am passionate about assisting people to recovery from past experiences in life that influence wellbeing

Having a social work lens assists me in understanding how the system around the individual impacts upon our social and emotional wellbeing, and this is the lens I use to provide support throughout your recovery.

I have personally experienced considerable challenges in my life and I understand the many complexities that come up at these times in life that feel impossible to manage at times

I love my work and I respect each person who comes through the door for support and assistance
