ADHD/AuADHD
Neuroaffirming Counselling Services for ADHD & AuDHD
I offer specialised counselling for neurodivergent individuals, with a focus on ADHD and AuDHD. My practice is neuroaffirming, meaning I work from a place that respects and supports neurodivergent identities rather than aiming to "fix" or "normalise" them. Nuerodivergent traits are not symptoms. As someone with lived experience, I bring deep empathy, insight, and authenticity to my work.
Burnout Support & Recovery
Many of my clients come to me experiencing neurodivergent burnout—chronic exhaustion, overwhelm, and emotional fatigue caused by navigating a world that often isn't designed for them. I provide both short- and long-term support to reduce burnout symptoms through a personalised treatment plan. Together, we explore the unique factors contributing to burnout, such as:
Interoception: Developing awareness of internal bodily signals to better understand stress and energy levels.
Boundaries: Identifying and setting healthy boundaries to protect time, energy, and emotional well-being.
Values: Clarifying core personal values to guide decision-making and reduce internal conflict.
Stress management: providing strategies to assist with task orientation, planning and routines.
I offer both individual and group counselling options to meet a variety of needs and preferences. My work focuses on:
Supporting self-understanding and self-acceptance
Developing tools and strategies to support traits of living with ADHD and AuDHD in a nuero normative community
Building confidence and capacity to navigate everyday challenges
Reducing shame and internalised ableism
Fostering connection and community
All support is tailored to the individual's needs, experiences, and goals, recognising that neurodivergence is not a one-size-fits-all experience.
Parenting Support for Neurodivergent Families
I provide warm, practical, and neuroaffirming support for parents—particularly those raising neurodivergent children, including children with ADHD and AuDHD. Parenting can feel overwhelming when you’re doing your best to support your child’s unique needs while also managing your own stress, emotions, or past experiences.
Using a trauma-informed and collaborative approach, I help parents build stronger, more connected relationships with their children. We focus on understanding behaviour through a neurodivergent lens, improving emotional regulation, communication, and creating safe, supportive environments for growth.
As part of supporting parents, I offer a collaborative parenting workbook designed specifically to assist with parenting neurodivergent children/adolescents. This resource helps guide conversations, foster connection, and strengthen your confidence and clarity as a parent.
Whether you're feeling stuck, burnt out, or simply want new tools and support, I bring over 20 years of experience—and lived understanding—to walk alongside you on your individual and/or parenting journey.
